Background
Electrocore was put together for the CellSonic event in Indonesia; with the intention of making subsequent improvised performances/works at future meetings. The different members of the group each contributed a different format to the performance, i.e. analogue video, digital video, analogue sound, digital sound; in a unification of styles, techniques & technologies. This framework was in keeping with the Cellsbutton inspiration; that of the polarisation inherant in all aspects of reality and thus the fractal nature of reality. A phenomenon that can be witnessed even at the cellular level. The Electrocore members Julian 'Togar' Abraham, Miha Horvat, Adam Sharples & Andreas Siagian, generated their own material which was then mixed together by Venzha Christ before being output to the audience. As with the Gangan Ensemble performance, I utilised my sample library, but placed emphasis on environmental & ambient sounds, with the occasional EM disturbance thrown in.
